Wine Description
Grape Variety: 100% Zweigelt Region: Burgenland, Austria
Medium-bodied, easy-drinking red with notes of bright cherries and blackberries. Soft, appealing tannins make this a versatile, enjoyable red.
Zweigelt, a crossing of the St. Laurent and Blaufränkisch varieties, was developed in 1922 by viticulturist Fritz Zweigelt. It is Austria’s most widely planted red grape variety. Deep ruby color; fresh red, brambly, spicy fruit on the nose.
