Domaine Guffens-Heynen wines represent the finest “grand crus” of the Mâconnais in Burgundy (a fantastic value compared to the top bottles of the Côte d’Or.) Guffens-Heynen wines display precise aromas and flavors, concentrated fruit, and vibrant minerality racing through a rich, even lush, texture. In 2006, Jean-Marie Guffens employed even more severe selection than usual, and used only free-run juice for the following cuvées, and blended the best lots, the “premier jus,” of what he considered the most representative of his individual, well-placed vineyards.
